"What do I need to do my senior year in high school?"

You have a lot to do and a lot to decide during your senior year. But it's not too late to take your time and do things right. You might start
by reviewing the Junior checklist to see if you've missed
anything important from our junior year recommendations. Then use the following checklist to help you close in on your final college and financing
choices:
September-October:
____ Attend college fairs.
____ Visit college campuses and meet with the college representatives.
____ Request college catalogs and applications.
____ Take or retake assessment tests (ACT, SAT).
____ Check into private scholarships/grants at the local library in the
reference
section or talk to your high school counselor.
October - November:
____ Submit application for admission with appropriate fees and other
documents required.
____ Request information about housing and meals.
December:
January - March:
____ Attend financial aid presentations in your area.
____ Your family needs to prepare their income taxes as early as possible.
____ Check with your school counselor about scholarship applications.
March 15:
____ Priority Application Deadline for financial aid in North Dakota.
(Check with college.)
April:
____ Return all forms to the college you plan to attend.
____ Submit housing applications and a fee (if required) as soon as possible.
____ Withdraw and notify all other schools you choose not to attend.
June - August:
____ Complete student loan applications and send to college.
____ Attend the summer orientation session at the college you plan to attend.
